Amaretto Slush

Ingredients
1 cup sugar
4 1/2 cups water
1 6oz can frozen lemonade, thawed & undiluted
1 6oz can orange juice, thawed & undiluted
1 cup Amaretto
Lemon-Lime carbonated beverage, chilled
Maraschino cherries (optional)
Instructions
Combine sugar and water in a saucepan, stirring well. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat; simmer 15 minutes. Combine sugar mixture and next 3 ingredients; stir well. Freeze mixture overnight. Break frozen mixture into chunks. Scoop into glasses, filling one-third to one-half full. Add carbonated beverage; stir until slushy. Top each serving with a cherry, if desired.
