Ingredients

1/4 cup Vegetable Shortening or Oil
1 cup corn meal
1 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 egg, beaten

Instructions

Mix all ingredients and pour into greased 8x8 pan. Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes.
