Ingredients
1 1/2 cups sifted confectioner's sugar
1 cup butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
Instructions
Cream sugar and butter. Mix in egg and flavorings. Measure flour by dip-level-pour method or by sifting. Blend dry ingredients; stir in. Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours. Heat oven to 375°. Divide dough in half and roll out on lightly floured pastry cloth to 3/16" thick. Cut with cookie cutter dipped in flour. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 7 to 8 minutes, or until delicately golden.
