Ingredients
1 box Club Crackers (buy 2 in case some are broken)
2 sticks margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup white sugar
2 cups graham crumbs
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup butterscotch chips
2/3 cup peanut butter (smooth)
Instructions
Grease a 9" x 13" pan well. In a medium saucepan mix: 2 sticks margarine, 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup milk, 1/3 cup white sugar, and 2 cups graham crumbs. Boil over medium heat for 5 minutes stirring constantly as it scorches easily. Remove from heat. Assembling the bars. Place one layer of crackers on the bottom of the pan. Pour 1/3 of the sauce over the layer of crackers and spread evenly. (This first layer can be difficult to spread without lifting the crackers because the crackers are sitting loose in the pan.) Place another layer of crackers over the sauce and top with 1/3 of the sauce. Repeat until all the sauce is used up, and end up with crackers. You'll have 4 layers of crackers and 3 layers of sauce. To prepare topping melt together: 1/2 cup chocolate chips, 1/2 cup butterscotch chips. And 2/3 cup peanut butter. When mixture is melted with no lumps from the chips, pour it over the top layer of crackers. Refrigerate until topping hardens, then cut into bars. Cutting the bars is a workout; use a stiff knife. Keep bars refrigerated.
