Ingredients

1 Cup Chopped Onion
2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
1/2 Cup Minced Celery
2 Pounds Ground Beef
1 Tablespoon Salt
4 Cans (15oz each) tomato sauce
2 cans (6oz each) tomato paste
1/2 Cup Water
4 Teaspoons Sugar
2 Teaspoons Oregano
1/4 Cup Olive Oil

Instructions

Cook the onion, garlic and celery in oil over low heat until soft but not brown. Add beef and brown over medium heat; break up meat with the side of a spoon as it cooks. Add and stir in salt and the remaining ingredients. Cover and bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring frequently, 3 hours or until thick. Chill; skim off fat. Store sauces covered, in the refrigerator or freeze in containers.

Notes

May substitute 1 can of chopped tomatoes for one can of tomato sauce
