New Orleans Bread Pudding

Ingredients
1 10 ounce loaf stale french bread, crumbled (or 6 to 8 cups any type bread)
4 cups milk
2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons butter
3 eggs
2 tablespoons vanilla
1 cup raisins
1 cup coconut
1 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions
Combine all ingredients; mixture should be very moist but not soupy. Pour into buttered 9x9 baking dish. Place into non-preheated oven. Bake at 350° for approximately 1 hour, 15 minutes, until top is golden brown. Serve warm with whiskey sauce.
