Ingredients

1 cup margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup baking cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup chopped pecans
48 Rolo caramel candies
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup vanilla candy coating wafers or almond bark
1 tablespoon margarine

Instructions

Cream 1 cup margarine, 1 cup sugar and brown sugar in mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in mixture of flour, cocoa and baking soda. Mix in 1/2 cup pecans. Chill dough for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 375°. Divide dough into 4 portions; shape each portion into 12 balls. Press 1 unwrapped caramel into each ball, shaping to enclose completely. Mix 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/2 cup pecans in small bowl. Dip top of each cookie into mixture; arrange on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or until puffed and crackled. Remove to wire rack to cool.
